Grace wins every time
For the prodigal son, grace wins For the woman at the well, grace wins For the blind man and the beggar, grace wins For always and forever, grace wins For the lost out on the street, grace wins For the worst part of you and me, grace wins For the thief on the cross, grace wins For a world that is lost There's a war between guilt and grace And they're fighting for a sacred space But I'm living proof Grace wins every time Yeah! No more lying down in death's defeat Now I'm rising up in victory Singing hallelujah Grace wins every time Every time Yeah, I'm living proof Grace wins every time I've been working on a 90 day, Beth Moore Bible Story about Paul since 2010. Spastic as that may seem, I have really enjoyed the study. It is like an old friend I visit occasionally. One particular lesson talked about writing my story on what Christ means to me.
She wrote how in 4 simple steps the process can be done. This is my summation of what she said.
A Blessed Life - Living Proof My earliest memory was when I was 8 years old. I was touched by God through the Holy Spirit at a Camp Meeting during the altar call. Being young and naive, I didn't know what it was, but I remember the feeling. My whole body tingled. It was a personal experience which confused me greatly. I did not know how to share my feelings. When I was 17, I was in a car wreck. Spent 33 days in the hospital semi-conscious. My mom & dad fretted over me, not knowing the outcome. I recovered with only slight imperfections; but my mind would take longer to heal. I graduated HS, went on to college never missing a beat. But my mind was physically damaged. My emotions were all over the place. Spent 4 quick years in college. Received my degree, but I did not attend my college graduation ceremony. Too much pomp and circumstance. Moved away from my parents, struck out on my own. Spent 2 years away, 1 failed marriage and came home. Fast-forward 2 more years, met Steve, my husband. God said he was the one. Moved away from my parents again, but this time I had a protector. Trials & tribulation still show up, we persevered. Now 30+ years later, we are still loving each other. Living a life where I notice the Hand of God working daily. We believe in God the Father
We believe in Jesus Christ We believe in the Holy Spirit And He's given us new life We believe in the crucifixion We believe that He conquered death We believe in the resurrection And He's comin' back again, we believe So, let our faith be more than anthems Greater than the songs we sing And in our weakness and temptations We believe, we believe! Neither life nor death could separate us
From the eternal love of our God who saves us Just hold on to the promises (hold tight) Hold on to the promises (all right) Jesus is alive, so hold tight Hold on to the promises Sanctus Real's Song Great song by Phil Wickham
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand. traditional gaelic blessing 1 John 4:8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees;[a] for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD (YHWH) looks at the heart.” Footnotes: 1 Samuel 16:7 Septuagint reads, "For God does not see as man sees;" Targum reads, "It is not by the appearance of a man;" Vulgate reads, "Nor do I judge according to the looks of a man." LOVE
'If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. * Love is patient, * love is kind. * It does not envy, * it does not boast, * it is not proud. * It does not dishonor others, * it is not self-seeking, * it is not easily angered, * it keeps no record of wrongs. * Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. * It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.; * Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man (woman), I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.' 1 Corinthians 13. Love one other!! Jesus came to show us how to live, through LOVE, and to have HOPE.
No matter how it is written, We are to live with others in mind, whether you have nothing or everything, This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.1 John 3:16 |
